Durham Region Foodies Rejoice
What’s better than two days of Food Truck Frenzy in Whitby? How about three days? Yes the Rotary Club of Whitby has announced that this year’s Food Truck Frenzy, which takes place from May 13th to the 15th, will have an extra day added as well as longer hours and more variety of trucks.
The Rotary Club made the request of Whitby council to approve the changes in order to boost attendance and of course, more money raised. Over the past two years, the Food Truck Frenzy has raised funds from $70,000-$80,000 which helped out local causes.
Organizers not only added a day and extended the hours, they also are promising more variety of food trucks for the anticipated 30,000+ visitors to sample as well as improved staging areas for entertainment. All of this is great news for Durham Region foodies and for the local businesses and charities that will benefit.
